Meet the founder
Carmel Jagdiesh
Founder & Director, Carmelite Preschool & Learning Hub
For more than 25 years, learning, teaching, and training have been an important part of my journey. Over the years, my work in teaching, learning design, training, and development has deepened my understanding of how meaningful learning experiences can shape a child’s journey.
My interest in early childhood education grew from a simple realisation: the early years are where a child’s relationship with learning begins. This made me want to create a space that brings together my years of experience and my belief in thoughtful, purposeful education.
And that is where Carmelite began.
I believe a lasting difference in a child’s life happens when schools and parents work together. Parents know their child in ways no one else can, and educators bring their own understanding, experience, and perspective. When both come together, the child benefits the most.
At Carmelite, we encourage parents to be active and valued partners in their child’s early learning journey. When both come together, children receive the support and encouragement they need to flourish.
Carmelite is my opportunity to bring years of experience in learning and development into the early years, while building a strong partnership between children, parents, and educators.
